Our last BCS meeting of 2009 will be NEXT Friday, December 11th! Note: this means we will be meeting on two consecutive weeks! We are pleased to welcome Mike Timmis, Chairman of Prison Fellowship, succeeding Chuck Colson.
Born in Detroit, Mike was senior partner of the law firm of Timmis & Inman LLP and vice-chairman of a privately-owned manufacturing company with extensive real estate holdings. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, Mike is President of the Archdiocese of Detroit Endowment Foundation, Inc. and Trustee of the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center. He helped found the National Fellowship of Catholic Men.
Mike’ autobiography Between Two Worlds: The Journey of an Evangelical Catholic, published in 2008, is a fascinating, vulnerable account of his life before and after he found faith in Christ. He writes openly of his preoccupation with legal and business matters at the expense of marriage and family. Because of the important life lessons in his book, Between Two Worlds, copies will be provided to men attending this Friday's breakfast, courtesy of the BCS leadership team.
The breakfast buffet will open at 6:20 a.m. and we'll be wrapping up the meeting by 8 a.m. See you NEXT Friday, December 11, 2009.
